The Brief

To tap into the festive season, dealchecker were keen to produce a Christmas-themed piece that also promoted winter travel. A perennially popular topic, Christmas markets reach peak searchability in November, as consumers look to be inspired by seasonal content. Due to this, we felt a piece centred on European markets would serve the dual purpose of promoting winter city breaks, and spreading much-anticipated Christmas cheer.

The Solution

European Christmas markets are in no short supply, therefore we were determined to be discerning about the ones we included. This involved much preliminary research, and in order to differentiate the piece from other similar articles, we sectioned our content into what each of the markets could offer best e.g. festive food, unique gifts, spectacular light displays etc. The resulting infographic is a fresh, well-informed take on an annual topic, which has received attention from local press of the featured destinations, as well as promotion from a number of high profile influencers.
