In this case, dealchecker were keen to explore the growing popularity of biking holidays in some of their most popular destinations. The brief for this project was to produce a multi-faceted campaign, centred on bike travel in Europe.
We set to work researching cycling trends in the UK (dealchecker’s key market), and came across the newly emerging pursuit of ‘bikepacking’. This informed our next steps, which were to scour Europe for the best biking locations, before bringing the two components together. As well as focusing on Europe’s up-and-coming cycle destinations, we also felt that certain, more established ones could not go overlooked, and so the final campaign spotlighted four of each. The result was an editorial piece highlighting destinations and routes for all kinds of cycle holidays across Europe, as well as stylised, downloadable maps, perfect for exploring on two wheels. A number of active lifestyle bloggers featured both the editorial content of the campaign, as well as the graphic maps on their sites.
