The Brief

As one of the most popular European destinations for short stays, Barcelona is a top seller for dealchecker, who were looking to boost late summer bookings with a focused, online campaign. SESOME was tasked with creating an inspirational, visually-led asset, promoting city breaks in Barcelona.


The Solution

Given that Barcelona related content is hugely popular on visual social channels, we began by identifying a USP to set the campaign apart, that our target audience would be itching to pin and share. The time of year instantly sparked an inspiration, to focus on Barcelona in the Autumn and stand out against the sea of Spring and Summer themed content. Research revealed that a number of Barcelona’s most colourful festivals, foods and events are unique to the Autumn months, and along with a little insider knowledge we created a story-graphic around our findings. The result is a cohesive, fresh piece with a colour-scheme that slots neatly into Instagram and Pinterest trends, as well as being super shareable. The piece also went on to be featured by a number of high profile bloggers.
