dealchecker were looking to create a dynamic and original piece of content to tie into the Valentine’s Day peak in travel bookings. The piece was also to incorporate an interactive element, as opposed to a piece of pure editorial or simply an infographic.
Valentine’s Day is unsurprisingly one of the most popular dates on which to propose, and this formed the perfect subject matter on which to base the campaign. Popping the ultimate question is a deeply personal experience, and we were determined for this to be the focus of the content. After scouring wedding sites and blogs for inspiration, we landed on the concept of an interactive map, illustrating innovative proposal locations around the world based on different personality traits. The resulting piece comprises both an editorial piece with stylised, photographic section headers, and a clickable, graphical map, just waiting to be used to plot the perfect proposal. The interactive map and article went on to be featured by both Wedding Ideas Magazine and Wedding Planner, as well as a number of influential lifestyle bloggers.
