About Emily Frost

Joining SESOME in 2015 as in-house content writer after freelancing for a number of large travel companies, stringing words into sentences is Emily's raison d'etre. If she isn't furiously typing away at her desk, Emily can be found travelling (shocker), reading and occasionally knitting.

Bloomsbury and Fitzrovia: A Photo Essay

On a rare, sunny day in the city, after looking longingly out of the office window at snap-happy tourists, we decided we wanted a piece of the action. As London workers, we rarely get the chance to experience the city through fresh eyes, and as one of the most bustling, vibrant capitals in the world, it really does deserve our full attention every now and then. So, we chucked on our sunnies, grabbed the communal Nikon, and headed out onto the streets to capture what we love so much about our own little slice of London.         [...]

A Pizza Lunchtime Fun…

Here at SESOME, we love a good pizza. Individually we are all connoisseurs of the beloved hot slice (including, sadly, those sold in our local Sainsbury’s at lunchtime), and as a team we can happily chat for hours about the correct ratio of cheese to tomato base. Hell, even Lurkey was once found beak-deep in a Pepperoni Passion during an office Domino’s session. It was then with a great deal of excitement we headed off down Tottenham Court Road (or ‘ToCoRo’ as we fondly know it) for our regular Mid-Month Munch, to secure a table at Franco Manca. Having been [...]

The Power of Unintentional Viral Videos

When marketing company Drummond Central earlier this week set up a Periscope live stream of a puddle outside their office, it was simply with the intention of providing some entertainment for the company staff. Turns out though, quite a few others - 1 million, to be precise - shared their fascination with watching people try and cross a shallow puddle without getting their feet wet. Viral hits like this are nothing new - in general, if your content is a parody, unbelievably cute, or features a ‘WTF happened’ moment, you’ll be in a pretty good position to gain some online [...]

Our Five Favourite Festive Films

With all the Yuletide shenanigans the festive season has had to offer, at SESOME we're feeling the Christmas spirit like it's no one else's business. But, once the mulled wine has been downed and the last karaoke rendition of All I Want For Christmas Is You has been had, we're looking forward to curling up in the sofa to watch anything involving sappiness, snow and Santa. So now we're going to share our favourite Christmas films with you. Enjoy! Adrian: Gremlins: Not necessarily a Crimbo classic, but then there are only so many times you can watch Home Alone! I saw this [...]

The Bird is the Word

At SESOME, we like to think of ourselves as pretty decent people. We work hard, recycle stuff, and always defend Sue Perkins when she’s bad-mouthed in the building. So last week when a little feather-clad fella’ showed up on our doorstep, we obviously had to take him in. Wrapped in a tiny blanket and with a thimble of scotch at hand (turkeys are notoriously big on scotch), our new friend let us know his name was Lurkey, and he’d escaped the other side of the pond when he found out that the Thanksgiving dinner party he’d been looking forward to [...]

Music to Our Ears?

It is a truth universally acknowledged that when it comes to selecting a communal office soundtrack, there will be disagreements. For the most part here at SESOME, we live in harmony. We are all experts and whipping up each other’s preferred hot beverage with no trouble at all, (whether it be the ‘Sanna Speciale Coffee’ or Emily’s forte ‘Builder’s Tea’) and our stomachs have synchronised to perfection when it comes to deciding the ideal moment to exit the office in search of lunch. However, this unity is shattered the second Adrian utters the well-worn phrase ‘are we feeling headphones today, [...]
